David Patterson - Executive Director

David joined the Ringette Canada team in 2004, coming from the host society of the 2004 Arctic Winter Games in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

A native of Peace River, Alberta, David has been involved in sport for his entire professional career. This has included military sport, campus sport, major games and national sport organizations. David holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and Master of Science degree from Sacramento State University.

David is a husband and father of two. He enjoys cooking when he is not chasing an infant around the house or working.

Frances Losier - Sport Development Director

Frances brings over 14 years of involvement in the sport of ringette along with an Honors Degree in Sport Administration from Laurentian University to the Ringette Canada office. Frances has been involved in the many aspects of our sport over the years.

Growing up in northern Ontario, she laced up her skates for the Kapuskasing and Timmins Ringette Associations. As she pursued her Sports Administration degree she toiled for the Valley East Ringette Open team and was a founding member of the Laurentian University Ringette Club. She is currently playing at the Open A level in the National Capital Region.

Over the years Frances has given back to the sport not only as a coach and official in the northern part of Ontario but also as an administrator. Frances served as the Athlete Representative on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Ringette Association.

In addition to her Ringette experience, Frances brings the knowledge and experience she gained while working as an Assistant Athletic Director at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, SK, as a Marketing Assistant to the 2005 Jeux du Canada Games Host Society in Regina, SK as well as Marketing and Game Day Operations with the Sudbury Northern Wolves Jr. A Hockey Club.

Frances brings an extensive working history along with a passion for and lifelong history in the sport to the Ringette Canada office.

Anik Desjardins - Office Manager 

Anik has been working for Ringette Canada since 1990. Before joining Ringette Canada, her professional career started with Volleyball Canada and also Basketball Canada. She was born in Buckingham, Québec, but now resides in the city of Gatineau.

During the past 17 years with Ringette Canada, she has had the privilege of working with so many outstanding individuals who "made me the strong person that I am today."

Anik holds a college degree in Office Administration and a professional degree in computer science.

Anik is a wife and mother of a 6 years old girl, who - you guessed it, loves to play ringette. When she is not working or cleaning the house, she enjoys spending time with her family  by going to their cottage, and fishing, swimming, walking and simply being outside.

Kenda McCabe - Administrative Assistant
Kenda joined Ringette Canada in November 2009 and brings a solid understanding of ringette to the office team. Having played ringette since she was four years old, Kenda has made two appearances at nationals and has played on Team PEI at the Canada Winter Games.

Born and raised on Prince Edward Island, Kenda has lived in Ottawa since 2006. She graduated from the Photography program at Algonquin College and worked as a photographer prior to joining Ringette Canada. She continues to work as a part-time photographer and may even be spotted around the rink snapping a few pictures!

Kenda has a passion for sports and in addition to ringette; she also plays hockey, soccer, tennis and golf.

Alayne Martell-Crocker - Media and PR Ringette Canada/National Ringette League
 
Alayne has been providing media and public relations services to Ringette Canada since 1998. She has carried out on-site media relations support at the Canadian Ringette Championships since 1999 and has served as the national media rep for the National Ringette League since its inception in 2004. Since 2000, Alayne has been heavily involved in the promotion of Team Canada and the World Ringette Championship and has conducted media training with the Team Canada athletes in order to prepare them for their interactions with the media. In addition to providing media and public relations counsel to the national ringette office, Alayne also acts as a resource for the provincial and regional ringette associations and has developed numerous publicity tools to assist in promoting ringette across the country.
 
Alayne has an arts degree with a specialization in communications and also holds an honours diploma in public relations. When she is not promoting ringette from her home office in Nova Scotia, Alayne likes to consider herself a budding photographer and can often be found reading storybooks and chasing bugs with her daughter, Molly.

Monty Aldous - Club Development Coordinator
Monty has been involved in the sport of ringette for the past 27 years both as a coach and an administrator. He has coached every age group and nearly every skill level and having coached teams who have gone undefeated as well as teams who have never won a game, Monty measures success by the number of players who return because that means they had fun. Monty has been a NCCP Coaching Instructor for the past 15 years and has been an NCCP Master Course Conductor in Manitoba for ten years. He has also served as a shot clock operator and has held the positions of Community Club Convenor, Association Publicity, Association Treasurer, Association President, Provincial Treasurer, Provincial President, Ringette Canada Director and is now the Club Development Coordinator for Ringette Canada. Monty hopes that more people discover and embrace the great game of ringette and he also hopes to see the continuing evolution of the game so that it becomes even faster and gender neutral.
