Kate Rogers-Horne

“I started skating at two years old and joined ringette in Sherwood Park when I was four. After six seasons I am excited to play U12 next year. This week I turn 10 and I plan to have friends from my school and friends from ringette to my birthday. My favourite positions are centre and defence, goal is my least favourite. I love ringette because I have lots of great friends and I’m pretty good at it. I live for road trips, especially hotels with water slides! I also play soccer and do gymnastics when I’m not playing ringette. This week I had to present a special item to my class, I chose my Ring Jet signed by the World Champion Junior National Team. One day I hope to play on Team Canada. My name is Kate, I wear number 8, I can skate, and my Grandad thinks I’m great.” – Kate Rogers-Horne (Sherwood Park, Alberta)
