National Direction for Return to Ringette

From Natasha Johnston, Executive Director, Ringette Canada

Ringette Canada is pleased to provide the following national guidelines for a safe, healthy and enjoyable return to ringette activities. This National Direction is for Provincial Ringette Organization Members, sport partners and the broader ringette community.

All of us – athletes, coaches, officials, support staff, and administrators – are playing a critical role in combating the spread of COVID-19 so that we can return safely to the sport we love.

Based on the work of other leading sport organizations in Canada and abroad, these guidelines have been developed through collaboration with all of the Provincial Ringette Organizations and with the benefit of legal and medical expertise. They provide direction from Ringette Canada to support the work of our provincial organizations who are developing detailed return to ringette plans.

Ringette Canada’s National Direction will be updated throughout the summer to reflect the best available advice from public health officials and feedback from our members at all levels of the sport.

I encourage you to visit our COVID-19 Resource Hub to access a wide range of relevant tools and information.

Thanks for all you’re doing to prevent the spread of this dangerous virus. Together, our efforts are moving us much closer to the point where it will be safe to lift the suspension on all sanctioned ringette activities that was imposed back in mid-March. Further updates on the suspension will be coming shortly.
