Stephanie Laurin

“Sport has always been a big part of my life – basketball, soccer, hockey, dance, water ski – but nothing more influential than ringette. I started playing when I was 10 and haven’t stopped. Ringette has not only given me lifelong friendships, but so much more, including my job as Sport Development Coordinator at Ringette Canada. It is unbelievably rewarding getting the opportunity to work in a sport you love, especially in a role that includes introducing that sport to young people, families and communities across Canada. The smile on a child’s face when they get to try ringette for the first time or when they meet their favourite National Ringette League or Team Canada athlete at an outreach event, makes the hard work behind the scenes 100% worth it. Not many people can say they truly love what they do every day, but ringette truly has become not only my sport, but my passion.” – Stephanie Laurin (Kingston, Ontario)
