Denise Weeks

2001

Denise Weeks has been involved in the sport of ringette for over
23 years as an official. A young women who took up the sport of
ringette as a player back in 1976, Denise immediately took an
active interest in officiating that following years in 1977. Denise
has been volunteering her time and putting back in the sport
ever since! It didn’t take Denise long to work her way up in
certification as an official. In 1982 Denise was selected to
officiate at the Nationals in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She was the
first Canadian official to go overseas to participate at the Second
World Ringette Championships. Denise was instrumental in
developing the Officiating Program in Nova Scotia and the
Maritimes.
