Canadian U18 Development Team selects 34 athletes to participate in next phase of junior athlete development

Ringette Canada is proud to announce the 34 athletes selected to participate in a new U18 development program happening alongside the World Ringette Championships in Calgary, AB from October 29 – November 4, 2023.

These athletes have taken part in an extensive selection process, culminating in a final selection camp that concluded August 14. With a deep talent pool, there were no simple decisions when it came down to selecting the final rosters.

“These selection processes are never easy, but we are confident that this group of athletes will excel. They each bring unique skills that together form two talented teams,” said Shelley Coolidge, Ringette Canada’s Sport Director. “We are proud to have them represent Canada as we continue to expand our program.”

This will be the first time the U18 development stream has been offered, and provides another high performance opportunity for Canadian ringette athletes. The full list of athletes selected can be found below.

Team Black is led by Head Coach Tracey Tulloch (Halifax, NS), and supported by Assistant Coaches Sarah Ianni (Toronto, ON) and Jessica Boisvert (Ottawa, ON). Team White is led by Head Coach Danielle Brassington (Vancouver, BC) and supported by Assistant Coaches Caley Mineault (Calgary, AB) and Daina Seymour (Regina, SK).

The World Ringette Championships, as well as our accompanying development programs, will commence October 29, 2023 at WinSport in Calgary, Alberta.
