Changes on our Board of Directors
From the Executive Director
Please join me in welcoming two new members to the Ringette Canada Board of Directors: Ann MacTaggart and Debbie Frail.
Ann brings impeccable business credentials and an impressive resume, with 25 years of experience in finance, management and leadership. She also knows sport, having served as President of Ringette Alberta as well as a Director and Audit Committee Chair with the former Alberta Sport Connection. Ann will bring proven skills in leadership, strategic planning, policy and governance, as well as experience with managing competing priorities in member- and customer-driven organizations.
With an MBA degree and more than 30 years of business experience, Debbie brings a proven ability to secure funding through a range of avenues including grants, tax credits and other government measures. Her volunteer experience is just as impressive, having coached ringette and softball for more than 15 years and having served as a community sport board member for over a decade. She has also invested significant volunteer time in the Girl Guides of Canada and the 60 Million Girls Foundation.
I’m delighted to report that Mike Taylor is returning to our Board for a second term.
A warm Ringette Canada welcome to Ann and Debbie and a “welcome back” to Mike!
I must also take this opportunity to recognize our two outgoing Board members: Beverly Davis and Marcia Morris.
Both of these remarkable women have served on our Board for the last two years. Beverly played a pivotal role in leading an intensive and highly successful effort to renew our Strategic Plan. As a passionate advocate for community sport, Marcia brought tremendous insights and unique perspectives that always added value to Board discussions.
My heartfelt thanks to Marcia and Beverly for their exceptional contributions to Ringette Canada.
