Community Sport For All Grants

Ringette Canada is seeking applications from local and/or provincial ringette associations who are looking to develop ringette in underserved areas or to increase participation opportunities for currently underserved groups (i.e. Indigenous, Racialized, 2SLGBTQQIA+, Low-Income, Persons with a Disability, Newcomers , etc.) through the use of Ringette Canada’s Gym Ringette, Come Try Ringette or Mixed Ability Ringette programs. Funds are to be used to cover the costs of ice rentals, gym rentals or equipment (including gym ringette equipment, on-ice equipment or adaptive equipment to facilitate participation for individuals with disabilities). Other funding requests to be considered at the discretion of Ringette Canada. This project is funded by the Government of Canada.
ELIGIBILITY
  • To be eligible for a grant, local and/or provincial associations must be in good standing.
  • Applications from individuals that are not a part of a local and/or provincial ringette association may be considered at the discretion of Ringette Canada but should have support of a local or provincial ringette association.
  • Approved projects must comply with all Ringette Canada policies.
TIMELINES & DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS
  • Application period will close February 29th, 2024.
  • Successful applicants will be contacted by March 8th, 2024.
  • Approved funding will be disbursed upon submission of receipts to Ringette Canada for the specific uses outlined in the application. Ringette Canada will approve funding up to a specific amount. Please note that if your final costs as shown on the receipt are less than the approved funding amount, we will disburse funding according to your actual costs. If your final costs exceed the approved funding amount, the additional costs will not be funded. Funding will not be disbursed if receipts are not submitted.
  • Equipment grants: Equipment must be purchased and receipts submitted prior to March 31st, 2024.
  • Activity grants: Ice or gym space must be confirmed and invoiced prior to March 31st, 2024 but activities can take place until June 30th, 2024.
REPORTING
 
All approved grants will be required to submit a report to Ringette Canada detailing the impact of the funding using a template that will be issued to successful applicants.
