RINGETTE CANADA APPOINTS NEW EVENTS COORDINATOR

We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Maria Paisley as our new Event Coordinator. Maria is an event and sports operations professional with 10 years of experience working in major, national and international sports events, as well as in professional sports.

A native of New Brunswick, she was involved in the sports community, both as an athlete and a sports journalist, and went on to graduate from St. Thomas University. Maria completed her Sport & Event Marketing postgrad at George Brown College and first became involved in multi-sport games at the 2012 Ontario Summer Games.  Later that year, she also took part in her first professional sporting event with the Toronto Argonauts Football Club, as a part of the 100th Grey Cup.

The multi-sport “Games World” has been an exciting part of Maria’s career, and she can boast  involvement with the 2019 Canada Games, 2015 Toronto and 2019 Lima Pan Am Games, 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Maria is heavily involved in the Mountain Biking community as an official at the provincial level. Maria has also had the opportunity to officiate at the 2018 Canadian XCO Mountain Bike Championships and the 2022 Canada Summer Games. She is passionate about Mountain Biking, having traveled to Brazil to be involved in a Copa Internacional de Mountain Bike (CIMTB) event as well as being involved in the local community both as a cyclist and volunteer.

“I am thrilled to be joining Ringette Canada. The passion within this organization and within this community is incredible. I love creating inspiring events and I can’t wait to get started in this exciting new position.”

Please join us in welcoming Maria to the Ringette Canada team!
