U17 La Rèleve Coaching staff announced

In an effort to continue to increase the number of skilled and experienced coaches involved in High Performance Ringette Programs, Ringette Canada has named 14 participants in the coach development opportunity set to take place at the 2022 La Relève U17 Event in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia from July 28-31, 2022


Marilyne Dion (Laval QC) and Carrie Hartley (Ottawa ON) have been named as U17 La Relève program head coaches. Together they will lead the technical and tactical development of the La Relève U17 coaches and athletes. They will collaborate with current national team coaches to ensure programming and teaching alignment with the national team program.  

Craig Schmidt (Sherwood Park, AB),  Allison Wilcox (Ottawa, ON), Tracey Tulloch (Bedford, NS) and Jody Tretheway (Halifax, NS) will act as head coaches of the four teams participating in this event. They will be supported by Eric Murphy (Delta, BC), Lynette Penner (Ste.Anne, MB), Rebecca Branton (Elmira, ON), Jodi Walsh (Pembroke, ON), Heidi Wippel (Ottawa, ON), Laurianne Bourke (Varennes, QC), Jésika Savoie (Dieppe, NB), Katie Hicken (Stratford, PE) as assistant coaches. Christianne Varty (Calgary, AB) joins the coaching staff as Athlete mentor and assistant coach.
