2025-26 National Ringette League Award Finalists

Ottawa, ON–Ringette Canada and the National Ringette League are pleased to announce the finalists for the 2025-26 NRL Awards.

The awards program recognizes the performance of NRL athletes during regular season play with trophies for Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player, Top Forward, Top Centre, Top Defense, and Top Goalkeeper. These awards, along with awards for Team Personnel of the Year, NRL Top Scorer, NRL Scoring Champion, and NRL Volunteer of the Year, will be announced at the CRC Closing Ceremony on April 4, 2025.

 

The nominees are:

Rookie of the Year (the most outstanding athlete in their first year of NRL competition)

  1. Morgan Forrest, Gatineau Fusion
  2. Dylan Pighin, Rocky Mountain Rage
  3. Mia Tanguay, Montreal Mission
  4. Mikayla Williams, BC Thunder

 

Most Valuable Player (the athlete judged to be the most valuable to their team)

  1. Gillian Dreger, Edmonton WAM!
  2. Laurence Larocque, Rive-Sud Revolution
  3. Madison Ryan, Saskatchewan Heat
  4. Britney Snowdon, Atlantic Attack

 

Top Centre (the most outstanding athlete who played predominantly the centre position)

  1. Émily Chénier, Gatineau Fusion
  2. Gillian Dreger, Edmonton WAM!
  3. Laurence Larocque, Rive-Sud Revolution
  4. Madison Ryan, Saskatchewan Heat

 

Top Forward (the most outstanding athlete who played predominantly forward position)

  1. Émilie Brûlé, Montréal Mission
  2. Vail Ketsa, Edmonton WAM!
  3. Alana Lesperance, Manitoba Herd
  4. Manon Vautour, Atlantic Attack

 

Top Defense (the most outstanding athlete that played predominantly the defense position)

  1. Jackie Gaudet-Senior, Waterloo Wildfire
  2. Robyn Gillespie, BC Thunder
  3. Melissa Misutka, Edmonton WAM!
  4. Alexandra Trudel, Montreal Mission

 

Top Goalkeeper (the most outstanding goalkeeper)

  1. Gabrielle Ednie, Gatineau Fusion
  2. Holly Kozan, Saskatchewan Heat
  3. Sarah MacDonald, BC Thunder
  4. Laurie St-Pierre, Rive-Sud Revolution

 

Team Personnel of the Year (the most outstanding coaching staff group of the year, this award is voted on by the teams)

  1. Gatineau Fusion
  2. Rocky Mountain Rage
  3. Saskatchewan Heat
  4. Waterloo Wildfire
