CRC Day 1 – March 30, 2026
Ottawa, Ontario – March 30, 2026 – The fastest game on ice is off to a roaring start at the 2026 Canadian Ringette Championships in Ottawa, ON! There were upsets, big wins, and lots of special moments in between.

In the National Ringette League division, the underdogs came out on top as each of 2025’s medallists was handed their first losses of the tournament. The day started for Pool B with the Manitoba Herd narrowly defeating the Cambridge Turbos 5-4, while in Pool A, the Rive-Sud Revolution beat the Saskatchewan Heat 6-4. The evening games were marked by a rematch of the 2025 Gold Medal Game, with a different result as the Edmonton WAM! instead defeated the Montreal Mission 3-2. NRL action continues on March 31 at noon with the Manitoba Herd vs Edmonton RUSH.
Earlier this week, we announced the finalists for the 2026 National Ringette League awards. Winners will be announced at the Closing and Award Ceremony on April 4.
Meanwhile, in the U19 division, it’s anyone’s game with each team getting its first taste of National competition. In Pool A, Team Alberta, Team Saskatchewan, and Rive-Sud recorded wins. In Pool B, Team Quebec and Team New Brunswick lead with three points each. In Pool C, the Calgary Havoc and Laurentides lead with 3 points each.
U19 Team Alberta’s Addison Hazelwood leads skaters with six points, recording three goals and three assists.
Eastern Ontario Impact vs Team Saskatchewan kicks off Tuesday’s slate at 8:00 am ET at Tony Graham Arena in Ottawa.
Finally, in the U16 division, Team Alberta, Team Manitoba, and Team New Brunswick lead Pool A, Edmonton Edge and Team Quebec lead Pool B, and Calgary Rowdy and the Spruve Grove Riot lead Pool C – with each of the aforementioned teams having won two games in regulation time. Everley McNeil of the Spruce Grove Riot leads skaters with nine points – five goals and four assists in two games.
U16 Rive-Sud and Richmond Hill Lightning will get the party started on Tuesday, March 31 st 8:15 am at Bell Sensplex.
Further ahead, the NRL Bronze and Gold medal games will stream on the All Women’s Sports Network, free through Pluto TV in Canada. Plus, for Montreal ringette fans, Le Nadia is hosting a watch party! Cheer on teams while enjoying great food, atmosphere, and ringette-themed activities at Le Nadia, the first all-women’s sports bar in Montreal, QC.
