FIRST JUNIOR NATIONAL TEAM SELECTION CAMP TO BE HELD IN CHESTERMERE
Chestermere, AB– Thirty-four of Canada’s top ringette athletes will descend on Chestermere, AB, from May 14-19, 2025. These athletes are vying for a spot on Ringette Canada’s Junior National Team, which will compete at the World Ringette Championships in Lahti, Finland, in November.
“We’re bringing together the best U21 athletes from across the nation at this first selection camp, where they’ll give their all in hopes of securing a spot on Team Canada,” said Shelley Coolidge, Ringette Canada’s Sport Director. “We have a wealth of talented athletes in Canada, and we look forward to working with this group to find our Junior National Team and prepare to compete in Finland.”
During the camp, there will be a series of intersquad games, which we encourage the local public to attend. All games will be held at Chestermere Regional Community Association (times subject to change).
Saturday, May 17 – 4:00-6:00 PM MT
Sunday, May 18 – 4:00-6:00 PM MT
Following this selection camp, athletes invited to the July selection camp will be announced.

Andrea Ferguson (Winnipeg, MB) leads the Junior National Team as head coach, and is joined by assistant coaches Keely Brown (Edmonton, AB), Colleen Hagan (Ottawa, ON), and Donnell Schoenhofen (Regina, SK). Melinda Krulicki (Red Deer, AB) is the team’s athletic therapist, Brooke Simard (Calgary, AB) is the team’s Strength and Conditioning Coach, Casey Turner (Ottawa, ON) is the team’s Mental Performance Coach, and Jocelyn Macleod (Winnipeg, MB) is the Team Manager.
