Ringette Canada names 2025 Senior National Team

Ottawa, ON–Ringette Canada is pleased to announce the 20 athletes selected to the Senior National Team, which will represent Canada at the 2025 World Ringette Championships. The Championships will take place at Isku Arena, in Lahti, Finland, from November 3 – 9, 2025. 

“We are excited for the return of the Senior National Team to the World stage,” said Shelley Coolidge, Ringette Canada’s Director of Sport. “We look forward to supporting this talented group as they prepare to compete in the World Ringette Championships, after years of hard work and preparation.”   

“It’s a great honour to have selected this group of athletes to represent Canada at the World Ringette Championships,” said Julie Blanchette, Head Coach of the Senior National Team. “There is no doubt that these highly talented and skilled athletes are determined and motivated for the upcoming World Championships.”

“I’m incredibly proud to be selected for Team Canada and represent our country at the highest level,” said Emily Chénier, who was also a member of the 2022 Senior National Team. “It’s a chance to compete with purpose, push my limits, and inspire the next generation of athletes to chase big dreams.”

Julie Blanchette (Montréal, QC) leads the Senior National Team as Head Coach, along with Assistant Coaches Barb Bautista (Ottawa, ON), Claudia Jetté (Montréal, QC), Stephanie Seguin (Montréal, QC), and Alexis Snowdon (Edmonton, AB). Kim Shapcott (Waterloo, ON) is the team’s mental performance coach, Andrew Lissade (Montréal, QC) is the team’s strength and conditioning coach, Connie Klassen (Victoria, BC) is the head athletic therapist and Joan Hammond (Calgary, AB) is the team manager.
