Senior National Team Names 2025 Leadership Team

Lahti, FI– The Senior National Team (SNT) has named their Leadership Team for the 2025 World Ringette Championships. Melissa Misutka (Lacombe, AB) will lead the team as Captain, with Annie Debaji (Edmonton, AB) and Britney Snowdon (Moncton, NB) as Assistant Captains.

“These athletes set the standard for how we want to train, compete, and represent our program both on and off the ice,” said head coach Julie Blanchette.

Melissa Misutka, Captain

Misutka, from Lacombe, AB, was the recipient of the NRL’s Top Defence award for the 2024-25 season, awarded to the most outstanding defense.

A previous member of the 2022 and 2019 Senior National Teams, Misutka grew up in Lacombe Ringette. She’s played ringette for 21 years, and currently plays for the National Ringette League (NRL) Edmonton WAM! was a first line All-Star at the 2025 Canadian Ringette Championships, as well as the winner of the NRL’s Top Defence Award for 2025, 2024, and 2023.

Annie Debaji, Assistant Captain

Debaji, from Edmonton, AB, was a first line All-Star at the 2025 and 2023 Canadian Ringette Championships.

A previous member of the 2019 Senior National Team and 2015 Junior National Team, Debaji went through the Edmonton Ringette system. She has played ringette for 23 years, and was a back-to-back NRL Champion with the Edmonton WAM! in 2023 and 2024. Debaji currently plays for the NRL’s Edmonton WAM!

Britney Snowdon, Assistant Captain

Snowdon, from Moncton, NB, was the 2023, 2024, and 2025 NRL Scoring Champion.

A previous member of the Senior National Team in 2022, the Junior National Team in 2019, 2017, and 2015, Snowdon grew up playing for Moncton Ringette. She has played ringette for 22 years, and cites winning the 2018 NRL Championship with the Atlantic Attack as her favourite ringette experience, as it was the first and last time she and her three sisters played on the same team. Snowdon currently plays for the NRL’s Atlantic Attack
